Historical note

A participant chronology places the wider IOV gathering in Andong, South Korea, from 26 September to 2 October 2005; contemporary Korean sources date the core World Congress from 28 to 30 September and describe 102 cultural workers from 74 countries.

IOV’s current board history records that founder Alexander Veigl was appointed Honorary President and Hans Holz became acting Secretary General. A participant record uses a different honorary title for Veigl, so this article preserves the current official wording while noting the discrepancy. Local records also preserve the Andong Declaration.
