Inclusive access
Accessibility is part of the editorial standard.
IOV World aims to make its cultural information understandable and usable across devices, input methods and access needs.
Current measures
How this version supports access
Accessibility work is ongoing. The list records measures built into the current website rather than claiming that every barrier has been removed.
- Keyboard access
- Navigation and interactive controls are designed to work without a pointing device.
- Visible focus
- Keyboard focus is shown so visitors can identify the active link or control.
- Skip navigation
- A skip link provides a direct route to the page’s main content.
- Motion preferences
- Non-essential motion is reduced when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Responsive reading
- Layouts and text reflow across narrow screens and enlarged views.
- Text alternatives
- Meaningful images are intended to include alternative text; decorative images are excluded from the reading order.
