Historical note

The fifth IOV World Youth Congress took place in Myślenice, Poland, from 12 to 17 July 2017.

Its theme, Folk Fusion, invited young participants to present lectures, films, music, dance and workshops exploring how traditional culture inspires contemporary activity. The Congress ran alongside the International Folk Meetings Małopolska festival.
