UNESCO’s IOV profile records the first World Youth Congress in Bountiful, Utah, in August 2008. It brought together 120 young delegates and 350 observers from 40 nations for five days.
The programme included lectures, demonstrations and workshops across the domains of intangible cultural heritage, supported by a folk-art festival with performers and public audiences.
