Historical note
This edition of the IOV European Scientific Conference met in Bucharest, Sibiu and Deva, Romania in August 1999. Its published theme was “Chances for folk culture in the process of European integration.”
IOV’s retrospective presents the European conference series as a forum for researchers from different parts of Europe to study both shared cultural patterns and cultural specificity. The online index preserves the programme title and location; where no separate report is linked, this article does not claim further outcomes.
