On behalf of the above-mentioned organizations, we announce a public call for the submission of research papers, scholarly studies, and analytical articles that explore Albanian cultural heritage, performing arts, and the role of folkloric ensembles in preserving national identity.
The aim of this initiative is to create a platform for study, discussion, and professional reflection by bringing together artists, researchers, ethnologists, musicologists, and choreographers who contribute to the field of folklore and popular culture.
Students from all three academic levels BA, MA, and PhD are strongly encouraged to apply.

● The role of folkloric ensembles in preserving national identity
● Tradition and innovation in folkloric performance
● Folk song and dance as historical documents
● The role of women and youth in cultural heritage
● Digital archives of Albanian folklore
● Aesthetics and symbolism of traditional costumes
● Cross-border cooperation among Albanian ensembles
● The impact of globalization on traditional Albanian art
● Folklore as a tool for education and community development
Submission Guidelines
Language: Papers may be submitted in Albanian or English.
Financing: Author(s)’ financial proposal.
Length: 3,000 – 6,000 words, including abstract and references.
Abstract: Up to 250 words, with 3–5 keywords.

All submitted papers will be reviewed by the Research Committee. Selected works will be presented at the scientific roundtable and published in the first edition of the collective volume: “Studies on Folklore and National Identity” (2026). Authors of accepted papers will receive a certificate of participation and official recognition.
The scientific roundtable will take place in Ferizaj, as part of the annual activities of the “Kastriotët” Ensemble, featuring presentations, discussions, and artistic performances that interweave research with stage practice.
