“Fêtes de la vigne”
Festival International de Musiques et de Dances Populaire.
9 July to 14 July 2024
Organized by the association Festival de Danses et Musiques Populaires and led by 80 volunteers, the Fêtes de la Vigne de Dijon introduce every year, at the end of August, popular arts and traditions from around the world. At the rate of an international festival every two years (even years), the tradition becomes a show and cultivates the authentic character of the celebration by multiplying the appointments: dance and music performances in halls and in the open air, concerts,
Street entertainment, parades and gastronomic appointments.
Addressing all audiences, the Festival aims to arouse curiosity in the mind and the need to explore the mysteries of little-known cultural universes. Welcoming hundreds of dancers and musicians from five continents each year, the Dijon Vineyard Festival is a magical cocktail combining cultures, exoticism and conviviality.
Associate member of CIOFF and IOV the Festival, born in 1946, draws its strength from its 60 years of existence and experience which allow it to offer shows of rare quality and rank it today among the festivals recognized worldwide.
In an atmosphere of unequalled popular love, the Dijon Vineyard Festivals are for everyone, young and old, the event that marks the end of summer while retaining the authentic taste of celebration and holidays.
