Jarmila Mrnuštíková, Czech Republic
Secondary education: 1) logistics and financial services program, and 2) social activity program.
Since 2000, I had been collaborating with the folklore ensemble and the festival in the city of my residence at different levels: sewing costumes and volunteering at the festival.
Since 2004, I began a close collaboration with the Folklore Association of the Czech Republic (hereinafter…FA CR), at first being in the position of a secretary for the Russian and Serbian speaking areas.
Then, from 2006 until 2014 I worked as a secretary-general of Foreign Relations FA CR and an official employee.
The Folklore Association of the Czech Republic (FA CR) was a member of the IOV National Section of the Czech Republic (hereinafter…IOV NS CR) and both organizations were closely linked, so I participated in the activities of both organizations. In April 2012, the FA CR and the IOV NS CR organized a successful General Assembly IOV World in Prague. My task was to manage all communication during the preparation of the GA with G. Frandsen and foreign participants, including accommodation, food, logistics, and the accompanying program.
Unfortunately, the FA CR ceased to exist in 2015 and now I work in a private company.
Since 2015, I have continued to connect foreign ensembles with festivals in the Czech Republic as a volunteer and to organize the performances of Czech ensembles, singers, and craftsmen abroad. From that same year, I became very interested in participating actively in the activities of the IOV NS CR and I encouraged my colleagues to collaborate and officially register in the IOV NS CR. This association was officially registered in January 2018 and I have been its secretary-general ever since.
As seen from my previous working experience in the folklore of the Czech Republic, I can mainly offer experience in organizing international exchanges of ensembles at festivals, planning tours for ensembles from distant destinations, organizing festivals, concerts, exhibitions, and publishing activities.
I speak Czech, Slovak, Serbian, Croatian, Russian, and English. Also, I understand other Slavic languages – Polish, Bulgarian, Slovenian.
