ANGELINA PETROVA (ANGELINA PAN)
Decorator, designer, People’s Master of Ukraine, Head of the People’s Studio of Fine and Decorative Arts “Modern Tradition” of the Cultural and Art Center of Darnytskyi district.
Member of the Ukrainian Association of Handicrafts (UAHA).
She was born on June 26, 1956.
In 1993, she graduated from the Ukrainian-Slovak Joint Venture with a course in oil painting using the “Funtyk” technique.
“Funtyk” is a small bag (ball) that is rolled up according to the rules and filled with oil paint. Gradually squeezing the paint from the ”funtyk”, draw lines and dots. As in embroidery, the thread is put to a thread, and the line to a line from a ”funtyk”, is put in this list. The pattern looks like embroidery.
Using this painting in the decoration of clothes, shoes and accessories with this technique, she creates original, exclusive and unique images.
She is the author of the project “Clothes as a picture”.
Uses this technique of painting in the interior (paintings, curtains, pillows, tablecloths, napkins).
She developed her own course of study in painting fabric, suede, leather and wood with pounds with oil paint, which mimics embroidery and methods of teaching it.
She conducts numerous workshops and has more than 200 students in Ukraine and abroad.
Angelina Pan also makes such decorative folk paintings of Ukraine as Samchykiv and Kyiv paintings.
Takes an active part in international exhibitions, competitions and projects, both in Ukraine and abroad. She has won prizes more than once.
She is actively involved in the promotion of the national heritage of Ukraine, preservation of folk art traditions and educational activities.
Angelina Pan, as a designer-decorator, has many modern creative techniques for decorating wooden, glass and other surfaces and textiles. Uses them in the decoration of premises, furniture and glassware (mirrors) in the design of restaurants, shops, houses and other premises.
She has developed her own course of training in decorating techniques that imitates antiquity in modern interiors.
